GAGS -N- CAPS

There is no doubt that creativity is the most important human resource of all. Without creativity, there would be no progress and would be forever repeating the same patterns.

Now-a-days, social media has been flooded with memes on various topics like politics, sports or the latest controversial news. Memes are one of the easiest ways to convey our opinions on a topic.

With a view of encouraging creativity among the members, the Editorial Avenue of Rotaract Club of TCET conducted a fun-filled activity, GAGS-NCAPS. The event commenced on 22nd of July 2021. Five meme templates were chosen and given to all the members on a google drive. Participants were supposed to edit the images by adding fun-filled captions in one or more images and the best five of the captioned images were acknowledged on Instagram as the winning entries.

An overwhelming total of 62 entries were received from 35 participants. The event concluded on the note:

Memes are the best way to address the social values of the society through humor.

Overall feedback was positive as the activity was a meme competition and it encouraged the members to showcase their talent. It was a new twist to the usual Editorial activities and this encouraged many members to participate and send in their entries. After all, who doesn’t like a few laughs to lift their mood up?
