MAHATMA EVOKED

“An eye for an eye will only make the whole world blind.”

― Mahatma Gandhi.

Shri Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi also known as Mahatma Gandhi also known as Father of the Nation also known as Bapuji also known as …..well this list can be never ending. The second day of October is always a national holiday in India but sometimes we forget the reason behind the holiday. This day should be spent by honoring the memories of such a great personality.

Resonating with the same thought RCTCET arranged an activity called Mahatma Evoked. Naturally the activity started on 2nd October. The main Aim was to acknowledge and admire the greatness and sacrifice of the Father of our Nation- M.K. GANDHI. On this occasion of Gandhi Jayanti the Editorial avenue conducted an essay writing competition for all the members. Members were asked to write an essay of 100 to 150 words on the topic. The members were creative in the essay they sent and it left the organiser surprised. Ingenious write ups were uploaded by the members, and the number of responses were remarkable. The best article was decided by our club’s editor.

Adding a bit of surprise we asked all the selected participants to recite their essays live. The best articles were streamed live on Clubs official Youtube channel on 14th November, 2021. All the winning writers read their articles proudly in front of the entire world. The live stream happened on 14th November, which is Children's day. This activity encouraged members to show their writing skills as well as reciting skills. We celebrated Gandhi Jayanti and paid little tribute to our beloved Gandhiji.
